Memorising

Recently i have bought a complete set of phonics books, 4 books in total. Words are short & easy to read. After reading to Andrea 2 days, she could memorise most of the words that is coming next. My intention is to train her to recognise words, i do not know why she prefer memorising it than "reading" the words on the book.

The book cost Rm5.90 each & it has grammar mistake! When i carefully read the author again, it says she's got her degree or something in US but the book is written and printed in Malaysia! How awful... There is particularly one book that is awfully non-acceptable. I kept it, will throw it away later. This is not the 1st case, the lady bird book (level 1), i bought one set, comes in six books. That one LADY BIRD also has grammar mistake! What is happening... Only one of the book"The enormous turnip", my mum was like .. hm... is this really from the UK? It's really hard to get good books without grammar error these days....

What i'm up to

After 5 days break of not blogging, i've been thinking alot about wealth generation.

To do Day Care business? I've talked to a friend who is a owner of Day Care+Tuition. She has 30 kids now + 5 helper/ teacher. Each kid pay Rm250-350 exclude meal. To my estimation she would earn about Rm11K per month, minus wage+bills+mic = left with <5k. Maximum 5K might as well i sit in office right. Well, if there is owner out there earning Rm10K nett, do let me know. I will re-consider.

I've also invest in shares, wrong timing, it went down and never rise again. I thought feb, strong wood should control earth, but im wrong. Bazi knowledge needs to improve somemore.

Thinking if i shall invest in a house where the developer is offering cash rebate. Im still thinking.. thinking hard... RM500K rebate Rm44K, RM700K rebate RM100K.... I don't know if this is a good buy... my bazi application sucks for shares, i've got no confident to make any judgement.

20 Months Old

Time Really flies! Andrea is 20 Months old today. 

Andrea is developing well, despite of her weight & soft spot that has not closed. Andrea is very alert, not when she is sleepy or moody. She can run VERY fast & likes to play hide and seek. She would laugh very loud when she is very happy or excited. Andrea is able to say full sentence now. Just this afternoon she told me the longest sentence: Amy throw away the doughnut box, daddy buy somemore. Hence i asked hubby to buy doughnut for her when we were at mid valley just now.

Daddy dislike her to scream, i have no idea why she has developed screaming just recently. Maybe she is unhappy? or maybe she feels confuse? or needs attention? I really do not know why. Andrea could scream out of a sudden, then we asked her why you scream.. she would smile at us. Very weird. She still wakes up for night feed. Poor daddy has to make milk for her till today :(

We had dinner at the Loaf just now, andrea could feed herself very well. She could drink her own mushroom soup. It goes the same to yesterday's dinner at a mexican restaurant at USJ. Andrea behave well on the table, well at least didn't ask us to bring her out for a walk or refuse to sit when we were eating. I hope this will not change. 

Royal China Restaurant, Jalan Ampang

We had Family Eow gathering dinner at Royal China yesterday, the food was actually very good. I was surprised! We had 2 big tables and 1 small table for the kids & maids.

Cousin brother was back from US for a short trip. It's a one stone kill two birds event, we had the reunion dinner & grandpa birthday cake cutting ceremony in the restaurant. Everyone was busy catching up, surprisingly i had the time to keh poh too! hehe, andrea enjoy herself there playing with her cousins.

It was a tiring night but somehow i feel fulfilling because i just love reunion, catching up with each other & ask about how other babies are doing.

Painful Front Thigh

After Cay Mee's class my Front Thigh muscles was strained. I expect the recovery period = 1 day, however i still feel the pain as of today! 3 days haven't recover. I had Sunday rest and yesterday went to pilates class, mostly work on the core muscles, hence not so much on the thigh.

I don't know why today my front thigh feels even more heavier than yesterday. I could hardly walk properly with my 3 inch heels. Ouch...

Yesterday i parked up stairs, quite scary because it's very quiet. I still prefer to park basement, i don't know when that Garden basement will re-open.

Shichida - 15 Feb 2009

Yesterday Shichida Centre point called and asked if i have already paid my term 2 fee. HELLO! one month already past, of course i've paid! Do i look like someone who likes to take advantage on these small little things. PLEASE.....

I think the management needs to improve their customer service and also their internal process. If they don't do anything about it, they will loose all their customer if somewhere else offer similar education. I told the silly woman that "yes, i have paid in LFY & they asked me to pay there last term", she said "oh then i check with them, thanks". You seek clarification from your customer last, OK? Do investigation internally first!

Anyway, last week was thaipusam, hence no class. The week before hubby brought andrea there because i booked for facial at that time. Refer to sensei & hubby's comment andrea did well last two weeks.

Today andrea was alright, she doesn't climb up the table anymore. She is more vocal now, able to speak up a little bit more (about 3-4 words), not enough i know but she is abit slow in adapting. Not enough confident i guess, at home or alone with family members she is very confident and very talkative! As usual, she loves all the songs and pay 100% attention to it.

I was previously with adrian in YZ, hence i feel more comfortable with his teaching style. For Cay Mee, she really worked on my weak legs. I don't know if i would have much determination with her when my legs are this weak! Need a few more class to judge. However she does gave me constructive advice to fine tune my pose.

Kizsport - 14 Feb 09

Andrea loves to go kizsport, i asked "today is Saturday and is ....", she will reply "Kizsport day"!

Today we arrived slightly early, around 9.40am. We then stayed in the car till 9.45am, when we are up, there are already a few kids playing at the play land. Andrea went to the baby spot where there is only 1 kid, the usual spot she went were conquered by a few kids already.

She tried to climb on 2 different slides & she did it by herself! Well Done! She also went and ride on the donkey & fish to rock front and back. She is enjoying herself there & doesn't want to go to class until 10.05am. I would say she is quite independent now, i've no longer need to chase & scream so much at her. She is quite steady when playing slides or take on any ride.

In class today. she display an independent behaviour. She is able to go and play with the equipment alone without asking me to go with her or stay by her side. She is able to do somersault alone today, teacher told me to bring her to the inclination mat and ask her to head down. Once her head is down she roll forward without help! Very Amazing! and she loves it, she did about 5 times.

ESP & Memory Home practice

Few days ago andrea enjoy playing cards. Hence, i did home practise with her on ESP & Memory. I'm glad that she is enjoying it & about the output... needs time. I would say she is better at memory game, i would need to increase to 5 cards today. hehe....

She also knows how to use scissors & cut papers too. Very amazing, i have tried it before about 2 months back, but she doesn't know yet and i had to hold her hand and cut. This time, after i showed it to her 1 time, she would want to try on her own, however unsuccessful. Then i hold her hand and cut, and she quickly grasp it! She then can cut on her own. I've bought the age 3+ plastic scissors that only can cut paper at kinokuniya book store.

I've never successfully do flash card for andrea, she just doesn't sit still. Sigh...

Weekdays Yoga

Yoga after work was fun but not when going back time. I always stuck in a jam & took more than an hour to reach home :( After joining for a week, i have attended 4 classes. Not bad.. hope my passion for yoga doesn't die off so soon because of the terrible traffic. Maybe i attend 2 classes a day & leave at 8.30 pm? Hm.. will see how it goes. I'm going again today after work.

How's my classes so far? It was OK, i prefer pilates now as i need to strengthen my core, my two split core muscles are not back together yet because of previous pregnancy. How lazy am i & it looks horrible, sis said if i don't do anything about it, it will be split forever and my muscles will be weak! how horrible! Anyway, pilates was good. hatha (1) yoga was not bad too, abit slow, maybe i should join hatha (2) as i already has experience and was YZ member last time! The other class i joined was My Stretch, I thought it's a relaxing class.. stretching mah... but it was equally tiring

After 1st week of yoga, my bowel movement back to normal, i had watery stool on the 1st day, i don't know that is food poisoning or what. But only once so i did not go and see doctor. Headache still mingling, overall mood? Hm... improved i guess.. still feeling miserable at times, but better i guess, cos my mind rest for that hour when i was doing exercise.

No Student

We went to our trial class at gymboree (tropicana city mall), however the lady told us that there are no student for the 4.15pm class! How shocking! Last week another lady told us that 1 week they have 2 level 4 classes, 1 class with 2 kids and the other class with 3 kids. She asked me to go for the Sunday class which has 3 kids where andrea can partner the other kid. Sunday we have shichida hence we choose the Saturday class.

We've arrived on the Saturday afternoon but no class for us, however the lady gave us one complimentary voucher for the gym class this coming weekend, which cost Rm48! Hm... i do not know if this is good because it's taught by an Indian instructor and not many kids for andrea to interact with. Maybe i shall stick back to kizsport..... Hm....

I've spent my money on Myoga for Q1, dun think i wanna fork out another Rm1700 for this gymboree yearly fee! Forget it!

Nothing to do...

Today is a holiday. I've got nothing to do.. how bored and time wasting! We have sent andrea to mum's place, went to Ikea to buy a stool for andrea and I'm back at home. wandering, surfing, sleeping.... Will be going to Myoga later.

Recently I've become very very impatient with myself. I need money, alot of money now to buy myself a comfortable house. Hubby always says that i gave him alot of pressure to start off a business, and i shouldn't do that. If need be, i shall start on my own without bothering him since i have so many wonderful idea that sounds profitable. He prefers to work for his boss and won't want to go for any long term planning.

My own idea, when my both hands are bare, with no special skills to sell nor helpful people to help how far & how big can i earn & do? I need 1 mil to buy a house (i know, it should be provided by man, but when my man can provide? let's say he is earning Rm100K per year, 10 years to 1mil? with inflation and all.... i think to achieve 1mil, need at least 15 years. but but he likes to buy share, let's hope he can double up his capital and i can move to a bigger house without a high tension within 1km)

Currently i had communication breakdown with hubby. He has returned all my money and i shall not mention about business/ investment to him. I need nobleman to help me to get a favourable partner to start off a business or someone to buy me my dream home :)

Kizsport - 7 Feb 09

Today we have one new addition + 2 preview kids. Quite a lot of fun, especially the new addition is a Chinese. I feel somewhat more comfortable to mingle with Chinese, I'm not racist because i know we Chinese mothers have common style of upbringing a child. Those Malay in the class are high class Malays, i think one of them bring their kid to Shichida too.

Andrea look forward to go to kizsport every week. She loves the colourful balls and also the slide. She is reluctant to go into the class at 1st, but when i say " it's TIME" and walk away, luckly she will follow me. hehe... i don't know if she would obey when reaches the terrible two stage!

mYoga

Due to recent weight increased i felt that I'm not leading a healthy life anymore. I sleep too much, eat too much, worry too much, too much of confusion etc..... I need improvement

I've this urge to sign up mYoga at The Gardens Mid Valley. I went for the trial class today & have signed up to their unlimited membership. RM208 per month. It's expensive i know, but if i go twice a week, it would not be as expensive as andrea's kizsport class! Hm.. i hope i can go three times a week at least. Need to slim down and be healthy!

Environment was nice, they have many computers for online. 6 studios with nice lighting's & flooring. Equipments are pretty new and with quality. To compare with Yogazone, they are very much ahead. The whole place is very comfortable

Bing Yin Month

This is my Month. Fire at stem which is lacking - officer luck & Wood at branch - my Money element. Only 4 days i feel much better as i speak on the telecon i feel power (Confident). My seven killing is out! hehe, i dunno if this is psychology or what, what ever it is, i feel great!

Need to start trading too, but the malay lady has let me signed on the wrong paper, hence i need to wait till next week i guess! Argh... dun let my money slip away young lady!

(1) Done with what i've listed last time
(2) Did some chart decoding on Fivearts & FFF
(3) Reading on Bazi Chinese version. completed 1, now reading another one half way

Gymboree

I've yet to decide if i want to change andrea's gym class from kizsport to Gymboree. I have heard of Gymboree long time ago and has look for their fee on the Internet but to no avail. Heard it was expensive but no one willing to share about their fee.


There is a new branch opened at Tropicana City Mall, the lady incharge explained the fee to me
(1) Trial Class cost RM48
(2) Annual Membership fee RM150
(3) Term Fee Cost RM420/ 12 weeks
(3) Yearly Package Cost RM1780/ 48 weeks


Previously i've opt for Kizport because it's nearer to my house compared to Gymboree bangsar. I would need to go for their trial class at Tropicana City Mall before making a decision to change or not to change.

19 months milestone

(1) Read Charlie and Lola Title - "This is Actually my Party" (she still loves this book & would ask me to read to her every night)
(2) Andrea loves to run about when we put her down & recently she only listen to me, she would come and hold my hand if i ask her to - previously im just talking & screaming at the wall
(3) She loves to imitate & grandma has made 2 lovely pink handkerchief for her to dance - Children Chinese new year MV we bought ages ago
(4) Likes to talk to herself & can talk very clearly
(5) able to scribble & does not reject when i say "come lets do homework"
(6) Favourite food right now is biscuit - all kind
(7) Likes to sing Happy Birthday Song whenever she is free "Happy birthday To you/ Charlie/ mama/ mummy/ yi yi/ daddy/ gong gong/ Lola/ etc" with same line but different tune.
(8) Cuspid teeth is out, about 1/6 can be seen now
(9) Taught her about sharing, she does not want to share when i ask if we can give her friend some biscuit from Disneyland she said "NO". Then i talk to her, she kept quiet and walk away. Next day in class, i gave her the bag and said come give some to your friend, must share the nice things you have, she then slowly, very slowly take out and give it to her little friend at Little Walkers class.
(10) When im back from shopping, she would smile happily at me and say "mummy is coming", i always have to correct her - 'mummy is back'
