Meatball Soup

Ingredients:
Minced pork, vege to be added into the meatball, organic vegetable stock, frozen peas, diced carrot & pasta

Chop the vege & combine the pork, then form the mixture into small balls. Just big enough for the small mouth. Put stock in a pot & bring to boil, add peas, carrots & pasta to cook. Drop the meatballs into the simmering soup for 5 min or until the meatballs turn white & float to the surface.

READY.

Long Weekend

1. Went to Ipoh to have hubby's favourite prawn at Mun Chong & give out moon cakes to our relatives. Mum went to buy baker's cottage "hak lung chu" for my grandma, to me, it's just normal. But the sales was damn good and they had to force ppl to buy 1 box (4pcs) & only 1 "hak lung chu" in it. Don't think their customer experience will be good, my mum is very upset, buy 1 for the price of 4! Wish them Luck next year!

2. Had barbecue at parents place yesterday & played with lantern. we had too many food to eat & andrea is very well behaved. Andrea loves the barbecue Marshmallow!

3. We had many meals outside this weekend & andrea loves mac & cheese the best & her favourite chocolate milkshake.

4. I have bought some more stuff from think toys again because of that 20% voucher, this time they gave me another voucher :( It's so tempting, how not to buy anything with that 20% voucher. Anyway, bought another 24 pcs puzzle, board games & phonics CD with song book. That CD + song book is super expensive, almost RM100 but i did not regret, the songs are really nice & most of all, Andrea loves it!

5. Baked blueberry muffin again as the muffin i bought from Isetan is not very fresh!

Shang Palace Moon Cake

We have been Shangrila's platinum member for the last 2 years, decided to stop because their membership increased RM200 per year & did not have additional benefits. No doubt we love the food at Shang Palace & Zipangu, i guess even if we go without discount, it will still worth not to pay RM600+ per year.  We love Horizon club too, but now they have restricted for the kids to enter, hence, i do think it's not worth it since we cannot stay in with andrea & another one coming later. 

Back to moon cake, so far we have been buying Moon cake from Shang Palace & it was delicious! I've tried many and have not found any that is better than Shang Palace. I was glad that they were having 10% discount for SCB credit card holder, hence i enjoy the discount without having to become their platinum member. Andrea loves it too! It's not too sweet & the white lotus is perfect. It can only keep for 10 days, but usually we consume it within 5 days as after that you will feel abit dry. For 'bing pei' can only keep for '3-5' days max. I'll go buy somemore this weekend, hope that famous choc bing pei is available this time! Yum... 

Kui You month

September the kui you month, what it has in store for me? kui is my output star, no doubt the studio unit rented out so quickly just 2 weeks and we get our desired tenant, signed on tenant agreement & get our deposit & rental for the unit. The previous tenant wanted to move out immediately, thought we can forfeit the 2 months deposit but he was begging us, out of good deeds, we return the remaining amount - minus cleaning fees & half a month before we rent out to this new tenant.

I have another you in my natal chart, you you is a self punishment destruction. Now i know what i did wrong, Say something that i shouldn't have said to my colleagues & Parents. Should keep my frustration to myself for the remaining month, do not want to slap my own face anymore.

Mercury dates are from 7-29 September, it will affect those people who has snake, rooster & Ox in their bazi chart. They will encounter communication breakdown, equipment failure ... etc. I think for those things i shouldn't say & have said to my colleagues & parents this month is also due to the mercury dates - Communication breakdown!

Leg Cramp

Leg Cramp has only came in at 32 weeks this pregnancy. Maybe i walk lesser this time as i work from home most of the time. Yesterday i had one attack & had one a week ago. So far only twice, so still not so bad. Had been taking black sesame powder, alternate days or lesser (forgot sometimes). I guess now should be able to remember because of the cramp!

Baby weight 1.9KG yesterday, i wonder if he will reach 3KG when delivered. I do not know tif he boy theory is correct, many says: ahh, boys usually are smaller! Don't worry.... but i know some who delivered boy were very big too! Just hope he is a strong & healthy baby!

Emotional Unstable

Due to the changing hormones, i have difficult time to calm myself. Every little things will provoke me or worries me, I'm so tired. Work has not been very pleasant, now i think it's my hormone causing all these unhappiness. Andrea is with me again this week & my maid is driving me crazy.

SHE WANTED TO USE ANDREA'S ROLLING PIN TO ROLL THE PIZZA DOUGH!

That is a toy OKay, although it's made of wood and looks like it can be used as a rolling pin to the dough, but NO! Crazy... she showed black face and refuse to eat the ham we left for her for breakfast. I throw that ham away after that in front of her.

Andrea has been pretending to cry lately too, or a real cry always with the maid. During bath time, meal times (3 times a day) & play time. It's driving me crazy, how can playing also CRY! I think my hormone is killing me, i cannot take all these small little things anymore. When is baby coming out?!

Personal View

Many people put shichida & glenn doman to comparison, I think this is largely due to both using flash cards. Hm.. my believe was the same as the public although i've attended shichida for exactly 1 year now. On the web or even attended many shichida seminar, you could not find what the real essence is. Because no one really compare them or they do not have in dept knowledge with these two programs. i've even attended glenn doman method of bringing up your child by dr. laila from nury institute (only for Malays last time, now the doctor is 80+, i dunno how long she will still be here), she too never compare it with shichida or whatever right brain development that is available.

This got me thinking when my blogger friend said her daughter started to read words on the flash cards. I do not know if Andrea can read words on the flash cards, because we flash it the shichida way not the glenn doman way. My youngest sister follows glenn doman method when she was born (my mum was a civil servant and got the opportunity to attend dr. laila's course when she was working with DBKL), no doubt my sister understanding power is strong since young & now is becoming a medical doctor in 1-2 years time.

Glenn doman: repetition of flash cards in a day (only a few cards a day) + show love to your kids (praising)
Shichida: no repetition, flash VERY fast - activate right brain wavelength (10-100 cards) + show love to your kids (praising)

Personal view:
GD - improve flash memory (right brain), reading & writing. Immediate results can be seen.
Shichida - improve 5 senses using right brain. some senses improvement can be seen, but many can't like speed reading, Imaging etc. Even the breathing exercise i still need to guide her. No doubt ESP and flash memory (object location, linking memory & tell the difference) is perfect.

Nose Bleed

Andrea had nose bleed yesterday, it scared the hell out of my maid and of course me & hubby. My maid call for us as she didn't know what to do. We took out the thermometer and her temperature is at 37 degrees, well that's andrea's usual temperature.

We quickly get a wet towel to clean her and put on her forehead. Then have my maid to make apple + carrots for her. I do not know what had happen, maybe she is dehydrated because her poo is quite hard for the past 1 day. On the way to shichida class, we bought coconut water for her too. Hope the nose bleed will not come back again.

Puzzles

Andrea started to do puzzle when she was 10 months old:

1. M&S 2 piece animal puzzles (10 or 15 sets). This is where she starts to learn animals & colours

2. Wooden transportation puzzles - 5-7 piece for 4 sets. Andrea took very long to master this

3. jig-saw puzzle book from kinokuniya - 9 pieces for 7 pages. Learn how to match the background & turn the pieces to fit.

4. Princess & tractor set for 24 pieces each. Just bought it yesterday from think toys pavillion, had 20% discount. Andrea can finish it with our little help! amazing! These puzzles came in big pieces, after completing it, it's quite big actually & andrea loves it. Just right for little kids.

I feel so heavy

These few days, even i stand i need to hold on something to help me get up. Despite my not very favourable weight gain, thus far i have increased 6 kg at month 8, still i need this support & feel very tired even when only stand for 5 min. I no longer could carry andrea for long, hold heavy groceries bags & lie on the floor. 

What's different from previous pregnancy:

1. do not have to do housework but now need to read & sing to andrea for hours

2. now still need to drive and pump my own petrol at month 7-9, andrea needs some entertainment sometimes during Saturday. I'm afraid i can't do it when my legs cannot take the pressure

3. Cannot go out to have my favourite food as much as i can, due to H1N1. Hope my boy will not be a picky eater next time. Andrea started to show favourism towards the food i like to eat during pregnancy, such as japanese food, dine in Fridays/ Chillies, Pizza etc

4. No preparation thus far for the delivery, did not buy anything & have not think of where to put my confinement lady. No room for her as my maid has already occupy the maid's room. Most probably sleep with me, dunno OK or not.

5. Play alot of facebook game this pregnancy instead of reading, hope there are no bad influence to the baby

Shichida - 6 Sept 09

I want to record down that andrea started to sing AIUEO with sensei, not very loud but the mouth is moving! That's a very good achievement to me, because i do not know why she does not want to sing in class although she knows how to sing. Maybe too shy or not confident enough. I'm very proud of her.

Besides she can now recognize number 1-10. She can pick up the numbers i ask her to during the class. She can also count 1 - 20 confidently now, with no missed. shichida currently stops at 20, i think i shall introduce 21 - 30 now.

Now Andrea can do her number tracing on her own, worksheets from shichida. I'm amaze that she took out her magic colour and start writing it herself & show it to me happily. She has really grown up ALOT!

I recommend Kumon workbooks i bought from kinokuniya/ MPH as i can see that andrea's progress is faster than her classmates, despite she is the youngest in her class. i wouldn't say she is smarter but i think is the exposure she gets. Andrea can do puzzles very well, hold a scissors very well, shapes & colours activities she can finish it very fast. She is always ahead of her classmates when doing all these activities. I've also started andrea with the big kumon books - easy maze & numbers 1-30 just yesterday. She has trouble in the maze but i guess it's the exposure, I'm sure she will get it right very soon!

addicted to Roller Coaster Kingdom

Oh dear, another game in facebook that makes me addicted to it. Realise another shortcoming, actually i already know! keke... i'm very impatient and needed to build the park as soon as possible & make lots of money & organize the park as pretty as possible. What i did? On another computer to keep the window open, this way the XP & coins moves up faster. While i do work i will check on the coin status periodically & do upgrades, buy new things when there is enough money for me to do so. Hope i could finish this game as soon as possible, cannot tahan myself! lol.

Update - 1 oct 09.

It's a shame that RCK has made the game worst. I've totally lost interest in it & have remove it from my FB. Never came across a game that does the improvement to worsen customer experience. Well, good luck to them!

Removing Buttons

Andrea is able to remove her own buttons on her shirt. It was quite hard actually & i'm surprise that she could remove 5 buttons on her shirt yesterday when i was helping her to change into her sleepwear. She refuse for me to help her & would slowly take her time to remove it, i think she took roughly 2-3min to have all unbutton :)

We went back to ipoh & i'm happy that she is not so afraid of people anymore. Well, if those people were too physical, she will reject & started to cry. If they started by talking to her 1st & slowly hold her hand, she is alright & would also follow them to where ever they bring her. She is able to share her food (biscuit) to her cousins & aunty & uncles too.

Daddy has bought her a flag on Sunday, she were happily waving her flag all the way & would point to us "Malaysia Flag" whenever she saw it. Yesterday, she was excited to see many people waving their flags on the TV & would imitate them & smile back to me. Andrea can say "Merdeka" too
