Pronunciation

There is alot of improvement lately.
(1) Andrea can say - Shoe, Balloon, No
(2) Andrea can walk steadily and loves to walk.
(3) Andrea loves itsy-bitsy spider song. She will sign when we sing this song
(4) She likes us to read her story books. (i have bought the whole set of Level 1, read it yourself. Lady bird for her)

Andrea bottom incisor coming out, hence these few weeks she doesn't eat much. Cannot finish her milk and any food we feed her.

Underweight

Past 2 weeks, andrea went to doc Wong for MMR jap, however after a few discussion, doc suggest to give her chicken pox instead and MMR can be postponed to next month. Well, i was quite pissed of her suggestion because doc wong was afraid that andrea would be allergic to MMR hence asked my mum to give her some eggs to test it out before having the MMR jap. I sneak out of the office at 11am, hoping to get the MMR jap done but in the end i had chicken pox jap! Not only that, we went to our usual doc koe, it was CLOSED! and we drive to this new clinic & felt that the dr had con me to get something that is not what i wanted. We have always wanted to go to dr. MUSA, but he has always been superly busy (clinic super full) and on leave so frequently, we have gave up hope on him. Docs now have a very relaxing life! Patient always can't get them on the right time!

Dr. Wong was concern about andrea's weight and have suggested us to give her oats/ toast/ cereal in the morning. Mum had tried that and she dislike oats. we scratch our head and finally i've decided to buy an expensive supplement - Pediasure. Andrea drank it for 2 days now, once a day. So far she doesn't seem to like it very much, she still can't finish the milk! I don't know if her bottom teeth is coming out, she seems to drool alot and have no appetite lately. 4 days now, hope she will be fine soon!

Andrea loves to put coins into her piggy. It's an achievement for her! It's not that easy you know... hehe. Andrea is able to walk steadily now.

Hubby and I will be bringing andrea to Shangrila for 2 nights. Hopefully she behave herself and also hope we can enter the horizon lounge together with andrea! T&C stated cannot bring children below 12 & when we have called 2 staff & asked, they said can... so we keep out finger crossed!

Walking

Andrea practices her walking skills everyday. She took the initiative to walk around the house. I am very happy that she started walking without us telling her to walk. [we usually tell her to do things we want and cheer for it if she follows]

I think soon she will be able to walk steadily, Hooray! i don't have to carry her when we go for dinner or shopping! I think i need to buy her more shoes, right now she only has addidas sandals that grandparents bought for her and a white shoe that i bought it from zara. Clarks seems to be very heavy, anyway i will go and look for osh kosh walking shoes!

Musikhaus

I have bought andrea to Musikhaus's trial class on last last Sunday. The class seems ok because it gave andrea a chance to play with other kids. The purpose is not so much on the music because the method that they use, we can do it at home too! Unfortunately the Saturday classes are all taken up, hence i would need to wait for their next intake and hopefully there are ppl dropout.

I am also interested in Shichida, however i am not so fortunate for this either, all classes are full. hence i would also need to wait till next intake and pray that someone will stop going. The babies classes now are very popular and money cannot buy everything! hmph...

Working from home

This week i am working from home again. Mum went back to ipoh yesterday and will only be coming back tomorrow. It was my grandma's birthday! Feel bad because we never celebrate for her, but i can't do much about it :p

Life have been hectic and was emotionally attacked by my colleague. My 2Q08 compliance testing just over & now i have to chase for Client Sat survey Root Cause and analysis. My colleague is 4 years older than me but behave like a kid. Exactly like me and pei last time, but we have outgrown it. Thank God! How disgusting and irritating to have someone like that around + she is Superbly FAKE!! I don't know how much i can tolerate... Hope that i can live thru it!

Andrea has no improvement lately. Her potty training failed. She even poo on her diapers where she doesn't do it last time. Andrea did not have flash card lesson anymore as my mum is busy with her own things & emelyn doesn't seem interested in teaching her flash cards. I have stop reading her story book every night, due to the 8pm show that i watch every weekdays, emelyn put her to sleep now. Thus, u can see the deterioration happening to Andrea, no wonder doctor said that her head did not grow! I don't know what to do...

Birthday Preparation

Prior to Andrea's birthday. We had ordered birthday cake from Just Heavenly. The cake will be design by ET. During our discussion, i felt that ET was not very keen to have our cake made. He even told us that this is his last order and was hesitant to accept our order at first. He said that the design will be VERY simple as he has no time for complicated designs. He charged us RM183 for a 1kg cake. I hate those supplier always treat us as if we are not their important client! Sigh.. i always ended up not feeling very happy with these ppl doing things for me. Hopefully the cake will turn out pretty.

Hubby had bought andrea a very big present yesterday from robinson. I have bought andrea a present today too at parkson. I went to baby zara today, there are no nice tops or dresses now. Hence, i do not have any clothes for her except for toys.

Tomorrow we will be collecting the birthday cake at around 1pm. We have also planned to get some party hats and balloon from the party shop nearby Just heavenly. We will be having the cake cutting session at around 2pm, where everyone should be back from work.

Andrea's flu have not fully recover yet. She still has running nose but seems alright to me. She is super adorable & she is able to walk with one hand support now. I brought her to walk around at the car porch today! I enjoyed it... hehe

I'm Sick

Sorethroat strikes when i was in KK on the 2nd day. After i have taken many vitamin C, sorethroat clears and flu came in. The worst thing is that i have passed it to Andrea. Poor Girl has running nose and nose stuck! She is now getting better, at least no running nose anymore. I'm also recovering, having cough now. Hopefully it will stop by today.

Never been so BIG

My current weight is at 53KG. Beside being pregnant, I never been so heavy before. My body start to inflate ever since i stop breast feeding. Human hormones gave a very high impact of our appearance, either on our body, face or skin.

I was at 48KG during my breastfeeding time, it felt good and my appearance was very attractive too. I can feel people around me envious of my body and i think i have encourage some of my friend to give birth as they say they want to slim down this fast too!

After 9-10 months, i have started to gain weight. It might be the reason below that cause this:
(1) Sleep too early, around 8-9pm after dinner
(2) Metabolism rate slowed down, usually after taken small portion i felt full. However i still finish up my lunch/ dinner. Do not want to waste food.
(3) Hormones. After stop breastfeeding, I've became a giant

Currently, i can only exercise & do stretching. I don't know what else i can do :(

Recession

It's coming. I have some money in the share market and i can't withdraw it now. Im regret that i did not sell my Maybank when it was RM13. Dad bought it for me at RM8 and i have top up just recently at RM11. Now it only left with RM7. I have a few other more and they are not doing very well either, but at least not as bad as Maybank!

Beside this, our daily use items are rising too. Petrol, food, clothes, utilities .. everything! How this world gonna be in 3 months time? would there be more crime? Gosh... i really dunno what to do with such situation.
1.Migrating is not an option because we have not done any preparation nor having any plans yet.
2.Earning more money is not an option becuase my business plan never seems perfect & current employment does not have any initiave of increasing our salary nor having any inflation adjustment. Future employment? Don't think about it, I'm sure there are no other company who gave me this much freedom & flexibility.
3.Saving money is not an option too because we have been calculating our monthly expenses and it's within our control, we don't waste uncessary money thus far.
What else? Personal use for clothes and skin care? wow! if i cut that i think i will be very miserable. I don't think life is worth living without that! Well, conclusion.. nothing changed, life goes on with increasing price. hehe...

I hope we still can live comfortably during recession time & hope this world would be a better place to live for everyone. I'm feeling like a saint

Get Started!

I need to start planning & packing for our trip to KK next Wednesday. Gosh i have exactly 1 week to prepare. I need to have a checklist of what to bring for Andrea & also plan for our itinerary. I hope this would be a Fun Trip!

On the other hand, i would also need to decide of whether to have a birthday party for Andrea. Is this party for me or for her? haha.. i love planning for happy events and i have initially thought that we should save our money for other things, i.e buy some nice things for andrea instead. However, recently i have heard thomas sister and khai fong will be having party for their kid, i feel left out! I must calm down and think twice before making any decision. Is this for me or for andrea? Who will be happier!!

Cookings

I work from home this week, hence i have chosen three recipe from the cook book.
(1) Vegetable Soup (5 types of vege cook together)
(2) Sweet Potato & leek pasta
(3) Broccoli & Cheddar cheese

(1) is successful. Andrea loves it. I mixed with pasta for her.
(2) will only try cooking tomorrow. I guess it would be nice too as she loves pasta.
(3) It's abit oily, hence i don't feed andrea alot. She seems to like it.

Being a stay at home mum can be very boring. I do not have the stamina to stay with my kid 24 hours. I'm glad that i have a maid to help when i needed to get my things done or im exhausted to do anything. Andrea has been behaving herself & i have almost 80% of concentration at work.

Backache

I had a terrible backache yesterday. It may not be as terrible as i have described because i never had a backache before. Whole day i was in pain and it relieves a little after i did the signature exercise.

I am working from home this week, only require going back to office when there is a telecon. I was on half day yesterday and when i was back home, andrea glued to me and i think i only have 25% of my concentration at work. I am going to office at 10.30am later for another telecon at 11.30am, then i will be back. Hopefully today andrea is more independent. She will cry whenever no one accompany her. A Spoil Kid!

I've used coconut oil for cooking yesterday's dinner, the chicken + potato was okay, didn't had any hint of coconut taste in the dish. However the spinach had a very strong smell. Maybe i have put too much. Honestly Coconut oil is not very favourable, it tasted like nasi lemak. Imagine nasi lemak taste on all your dishes for that night! Horrible... Anyway, Look at the bright side, It is the world's best cooking oil!

11 Months Old

Andrea is a big girl now. She knows
1. when she wants to urine. She will crawl to her potty (Only day time)
2. how to sign "flower", "more", "pretty" & "sleep"
3. going to her drawer to get dressed when she see grandma going out (she wants to follow)
4. how to "kiss" when we asked her to do so, but somehow she doesn't want to kiss me
5. the name of her book "Three Little Pigs", "Thumper Shapes", "Goldilocks and the three bears"

Andrea's Favourite snacks or shall i say, the regular snacks i bought for her is the biscuit by WAKODO from Isetan. There are 11 different flavour with different stages i.e 6 months, 7 months and 9 months.
6 months - comes in 2 flavours: Tried 1 (Rice cracker)
7 motnhs - comes in 5 flavours: Tried 1 (Potato stick)
9 months - comes in 4 flavours: Tried all 4 (sweet potato, pumpkin, potato & aeroplane shape biscuit)

Andrea also drinks Heinz fruit juice everyday. 1 Bottle last for 2 days

3. Strained Pear Juice
4. Strained Apple Juice
5. Strained Apple Prune Drink

Andrea meals are mostly Organic. We bought most of the vegetable from JustLife. I am now a Justlife member too.

Andrea wakes up in the middle of the night

Andrea seldom wakes up in the middle of the night. I have no idea what happened to her, she wakes up at 2am and only get back to sleep at 3.30am. I have made her milk & she can't fall back to sleep after the milk, she started to cry after that. I was very very sleepy and tired, luckly hubby is there to help to put her back to sleep.

early this morning, she grin at me when i got up from the bed. I gave her a hug and kiss then i go brush my teeth. Andrea seems okay and hopefully she won't be so cranky tonight.

Andrea had rashes on her neck since sunday, it had not got better. Mum said wait for a few more days before we bring her to see doctor. I have gotten a medication gel for bathing from chen chen. But it doesn't seems to help alot.

Andrea s able to say two vocals now but still couldn't made them up as words yet. She tried to take her 1st step on saturday, but wouldn't want to try another time till now.

work is Stressful

Back to IBm about 3 weeks now. I have not grasp everything as fast that i could imagine and anticipated. everything is new to me, including my Business Controls role. The name could be the same but the process is totally different and i have to start from zero again!! Everyone has high expectation of me, because they know that i am a re-hire and i can start my engine on day 1! They're wrong, im a slow learner and i needed more time.

I have had nightmare almost everynight and feel so depress before going to work. when i am at work, i work like a dog and hoping 5pm will come very soon! i go home sharp everyday at 5pm unless there are classes or telecon. I don't know when this sadness and stress will go away, i hope it will go away soon, because i can feel that i am collapsing soon. There is no one in this world would understand me, including my husband. I felt so alone and lonely at work and at home.

10 months old

Andrea knows alot of things now.
1.She can sign "Book" and Clap her hands when we ask her to do so.
2.Andrea is able to stand without support for 1 min.
3.She can Say words like "A", "O" and "R".
4.She can Look for things that we ask her to, for instance where is "TOMMY?" (kim bought it for me from the US, rugrats) or where is "Micky Mouse?".
5.Andrea can also identify words when we put three flash card side by side and ask her, for instance which is the "BED".

Andrea slipped today when she was crawling. Her bottom two teeth bleed the upper lips. Poor thing, i put ice on it and she seems to enjoy licking the ice! haha.. but only for 2 min... keke

Sign Bye-Bye

Andrea know how to sign bye-bye just two days ago. I know it's abit slow if compared to other kid but this is a new achievement and i am very proud of her. She waived bye-bye very vigorously most of the time, hence she made everyone laugh when she does that!

We had a weekend escapade at Le Meridian Hotel, it was not very enjoyable because the room is small and the bed and pillow is not very comfortable. However, it's a good experience and we enjoy the time spent, just the three of us. Andrea waived to the kwai lo next to our table, me and hubby was very surprise and enjoy watching her to be this friendly. However, when an ASIAN looking man came and say hello, she cried immediately. I am surprise that baby can recognise people by colour, haha. How amazing!

In the evening, I was told by emelyn that andrea had a diarrhea. I am very worried. I suspect its the yogurt that i have fed her this morning. Mum helped me to check on her diaper after she slept (1 hour later after her watery poo), luckly we didn't see any poo. I will check again later when I'm going to bed, just to be sure and i shall bring her to hospital if this still occurs! Poor Baby.. i feel so sorry to give the yogurt to her now :( Hope she will get well soon.

Food Food here i come

Andrea is very eager to eat at all times.

1. Emelyn was preparing andrea's cereal and she has excess sweet potato for me to eat. I was carrying andrea and she wants to have a bite too. The sweet potato is quite hot and i let her bite in small mouth. Later i sat on the sofa and forgotten that the potato is hot, andrea munch the whole piece off! then i saw her hand shivering/ shaking. I then tried to open her mouth and she started to cry. I dunno if i have burn her lips/ tongue/ throat. But she seems okay when having the cereal. finger crossed!

2.She would sometimes get choked when she eats biscuit. Mum said other babies were fed by adults but i think to let Andrea hold on her own will improve her motor skills. So far she got choked 2 times.

3.She would often get choked when drinking water. she doesn't like to drink from bottle, hence we have feed her water using cups. She is still learning and i hope she will stop choking soon.

Bored...

I'm feeling so bored at home. This morning we brought Andrea to Giant and I went to Kajang in the afternoon with Thomas. Our Kajang Studio has rent out to an arabian for Rm350 per month. I'm glad that the studio had rented out and now we have fixed Rm350 into our joint account! 

Most of the time i go online and i only spend little time to play with Andrea. It is because i feel very tired where i have to chase after Andrea and she is too active to me. I dun have such energy for her. I usually read to her, lie down and talk to her and to put her to sleep. I rarely play with her for a long time because i always feel tired half way playing with her. 

I'm wondering what else i can do than sleep. I have ate so much and sleep too much! Gosh, my life is imbalance!! 

SATISFIED!

I went and collect my offer letter just now! Richard gave me 21% increase from my last pay in IBM. What a relieve and joy. I promised myself to work hard and contribute all that i can to this department and SHINE!! No more complaints and hatred. New and Happy beginning!!
